Cédrine Kerbaol, a Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift stage winner and one of cycling’s top prospects, will join EF-Oatly-Cannondale for the 2025 season.

The 23-year-old French cyclist, known for her all-round abilities and attacking style, brings a strong set of skills to the roster.

“This team was something I was always interested in,” she said. “There are a lot of strong riders here, so I’m coming with expectations of doing big things with the team.”

A former French national champion in the time trial, Kerbaol confirmed her racing acumen in both 2023 and 2024.

In 2023, she won the best young rider’s category in the Tour de France Femmes as well as her first pro GC in the three-stage Tour de Normandie Féminin.

She bettered that in 2024 by becoming the first French rider to win a Tour de France Femmes stage as well as finishing sixth overall, along with notching victories at Vuelta CV Feminas, Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria and Tre Valli Varesine.

“Long, solitary efforts like a time trial or a breakaway are my main strength on the bike. That’s how I like to race. I’m a strong climber and, something I wouldn’t necessarily have said in the past, a strong descender too,” Cédrine said, referring to the downhill masterclass she executed to win a Tour de France Femmes stage this summer.

“I try to be balanced. I try to be a bit of everything,” she said.

Kerbaol’s addition to EF-Oatly-Cannondale is a coup for team general manager Esra Tromp, who praised her aggressive and fearless racing style.

“Cédrine is a rider that fits with the DNA of the team. Her style of riding is exactly how we want to race,” Tromp said. “It’s exciting to watch how she will risk losing in order to give her all for a result. She is an impressive rider and still quite young.

“We both have big ambitions and I am confident that we will grow and achieve together,” she said. “Cédrine’s strength and versatility make her the ideal rider to complete our 2025 roster.”

EF sees some big changes for 2025, with Coryn Labecki retiring and Clara Koppenburg heading to Cofidis Women Team.

Other new arrivals for 2025 include Ceratizit teammate Nina Berton, Henrietta Christie (Human Powered Health), Sarah Roy (Cofidis), Babette Van der Wolf (Lifeplus Wahoo), and Alexandra Volstad (Watersley R&D).

As the first Frenchwoman to win a Tour de France Femmes stage, Kerbaol has her sights on the 2025 edition, which will begin next year with a stage in her hometown of Brest.

“I love the Tour de France Femmes and next year the second stage starts in my hometown,” she said. “I was born in Brest so that’s a really, really big target I’m looking forward to.”
