The schedule for the 2025 USA Cycling (USAC) National Championships has been released, with events spanning the disciplines of road, track, BMX, mountain biking, cyclocross, and eSports.
It was a record-breaking year for Team USA cyclists at the Paris 2024 Olympics, which USAC hopes is a boon for the 2025 national championship races.
“That spirit of dreaming big is what makes our national championships so meaningful,” said USA Cycling’s president and CEO Brendan Quirk.
“For some, it’s about winning a title and qualifying for the world championships. And for others, it’s about having the courage to sign up and test themselves for the first time against national-caliber competition. There’s something for everyone, and we welcome all our members to pick a national championship and set their own personal goals.”
The season kicks off on February 1, 2025 with the eSports national champs. The event will be held in partnership with Echelon Racing Promotions and taking place on the virtual platform MyWhoosh for the first time.
Next year’s national championship races will be held in multiple new venues, some with new promoters, as well.
In Wisconsin, Trek Bicycle will host Collegiate Road Nationals in early May, and Tour of America’s Dairyland will host Masters and Junior Road Nationals later in the summer.
Pro Road Nationals is returning to Charleston, West Virginia, showcasing elite, U23, junior 17-18, and para-cycling racers. It will also mark the debut of the U23 Women’s Road Race as a standalone event, as well as the addition of Para-cycling to the program.
For both 2025 and 2026, Endurance Mountain Bike Nationals will include both the Cross-Country and Marathon Mountain Bike events, creating one full week of racing in Roanoke, Virginia.
Gravity Mountain Bike Nationals will take place in partnership with the Pro Downhill Series – specific dates and locations for the Championship event will be announced at a later date.
The recently reopened Colorado Springs Velodrome will host Elite, Masters, and Para-cycling Track Nationals.
For its third edition, the Gravel National Championship is heading to La Crescent, Minnesota for the first time.
To conclude the season, Cyclocross Nationals will take place in Fayetteville, Arkansas at Centennial Park, the home of the 2022 UCI Cyclocross World Championships.
There is one last national championship cycling race in the United States this year before the season of stars and stripes jerseys wraps up for the year. The 2024 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships will take place December 12-15, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky.
