Winter training has never been easier or more enjoyable. From the professional gravel racer to the novice weekend rider to the indoor devotee, every cyclist can find what they’re looking for on ROUVY—the world’s most realistic indoor cycling app. The platform combines scenic routes with opportunities to race, ride with friends, and explore solo. Now there’s even more to enjoy because ROUVY is releasing new destinations and routes, including iconic gravel rides and race courses. The new routes are exhilarating—just ask Antonín Parma. He’s the product experience director at ROUVY and responsible for the platform’s route recording, training plans, workouts, events, challenges, and new gear in the virtual garage. Here’s what he had to say about the content coming to ROUVY this season.
Outside: What makes ROUVY unique among indoor training apps for cyclists?
Antonín Parma: By delivering a truly immersive and realistic cycling experience that bridges the gap between indoor and outdoor riding, ROUVY sets itself apart. Unlike other platforms that gamify cycling or focus purely on performance, ROUVY offers a balanced approach, catering to both serious athletes and recreational riders. Our extensive library of more than 1,500 augmented reality routes worldwide ensures that every ride feels like a real journey, whether you’re tackling famous climbs or exploring remote locations. Additionally, ROUVY’s integration of structured training plans, challenges, and races helps riders of all levels achieve their fitness goals while enjoying stunning global scenery. By combining cutting-edge technology with authentic cycling experiences, ROUVY motivates users to keep going, explore more, and truly enjoy the ride, making indoor cycling a year-round activity.
What new locations can users look forward to exploring on ROUVY?
In September, ROUVY will start introducing an array of exciting new locations for users to explore. These include routes from La Vuelta 2024, recorded live on race day, and legendary European climbs like Colombier, Galibier, and Tourmalet. Additionally, riders can embark on the Great World Adventure, a hero spotlight launching in November that features epic new rides in Iceland, Colombia, and Madagascar. Other highlights set to be introduced include the Route des Grandes Alpes, a stunning traverse of the French Alps, and a collection of more than 30 new routes in Mallorca.
Early in the year, we’ll also launch routes in Oman, along with famous challenges like the Race Across America and Haute Route Alps. Building on last year’s successes, we’re expanding our Ride Across Britain series and bringing all the major spring classics to the app, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting for our users as the season progresses.

In addition to the new ride locations, what new training plans will users find on the app?
The training library is constantly expanding with new plans designed to support our diverse user base. This season, we’re collaborating with Lidl-Trek coaches and other cycling experts to create specialized training plans. These plans cater to serious riders, hobby cyclists, and longtime users, ensuring that all levels of riders have programs to propel them toward their goals. Whether you’re preparing for your first century ride, training for a specific race like a gran fondo or criterium, or looking to maintain fitness, ROUVY has you covered. As the indoor season progresses, our focus will shift from race preparation to fitness management and base-building programs. This approach ensures that riders are fully prepared for the outdoor season ahead.
What new routes can gravel riders look forward to?
Gravel enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to on ROUVY with the upcoming Gravel Routes Spotlight, launching at the end of September. This curated selection of routes includes diverse terrain on rides like the Prescott Dells Gravel in Arizona and Casto Canyon in Utah. Riders can also explore unique international locations, such as Mellental Gravel in Austria, Portugal Gravel, and several new routes in New Zealand, including the rugged, demanding New Zealand Hard. Additionally, some of the routes from our Great World Adventure, launching in November, will feature gravel segments. For those seeking even more, ROUVY’s Gravel Collection offers a handpicked selection of our best gravel routes.
What’s your favorite ride location or training plan currently?
Right now, my favorite ride location has to be La Vuelta. The excitement of riding the same routes as the pros, especially when they are freshly recorded on race day, adds a unique thrill to every session. Additionally, I love returning to the Sella Ronda in Italy, which holds special memories from a family vacation. The Dolomites’ iconic passes, like Gardena, Pordoi, and Campolongo, are challenging but breathtaking. Looking ahead, I’m particularly excited about the Great World Adventure, starting in November. This hero spotlight will take riders on an extraordinary journey through remote, unique locations like Iceland and Madagascar, complete with awe-inspiring drone footage that really captures the beauty and adventure of these rides.
